What a kit is

A kit is ten sealed vials of one compound, drawn from the same production batch, supplied as a single order line. It is the same material as the equivalent single vial listing. What changes is the price per vial, which falls substantially at kit quantity, and the fact that ten vials from one batch removes batch-to-batch variation from a series of runs.

Why researchers buy at kit quantity

Consistency is the main reason. If a protocol runs over weeks or months, drawing every vial from one documented batch means a result is not confounded by a change in the input material. The second reason is simply cost: at kit pricing the per-vial figure is far below the single-vial price, which matters when a study needs repeat runs.

Documentation

Kits carry the same batch documentation as singles. The batch number is printed on each vial and the paperwork for that batch is available on request, or through the batch search. Because a kit is filled from one batch, one document covers all ten vials.

Storage

Lyophilised compounds are stable at room temperature through normal transit, which is why no cold chain is required in the post. For longer-term holding of a kit you are not using immediately, cold storage is the sensible choice. Vial storage cases and laboratory fridges are stocked alongside the compounds.

Kits ship free with tracking like every other order, in the same plain unbranded packaging, and New Zealand orders are dispatched from New Zealand stock. Prices are in New Zealand dollars with GST applied. If you need a compound at a quantity beyond a single kit, get in touch and we will price it.
